1. Question: On Page 5, item b states, “The experimental virtual environment is based on an existing template of a park with natural elements.” Does this mean this project will entail building code upon the experimental environment, or will it be a clean slate project, utilizing lessons learned from the experimental environment?
Answer: This project would entail building code and developing the experimental environment.
2. Question: Is there an incumbent contractor who performed the initial scope of work? If so, can you please provide the name of the contractor and the original solicitation?
Answer: This is a new requirement. However, this new requirement is similar to a previous award where Mode Four, LLC was the awardee.
3. Question: Please clarify page 5 item b), are the 80/40/40 hours an estimated per week requirement for the calendar year, in other words, is this an estimated 4 FTE project, or is it a 160 hour project total?
Answer: This is a project of 160 hours in total.
4. Question: Is there an approved budget for the project?
Answer: Yes, there is an approved budget for the project.
5. Question: On page 6, 4 attachments are mentioned, however only Attachment 2 is listed. Can you please provide the remaining attachments?
Answer: The attachments listed on page 6 are for the government only. The only attachment that is included in the solicitation is the Evaluation / Selection Criteria.
6. Question: Is there a desired or required split between on-site versus remote work?
Answer: Mostly the work can be done remotely.
7. Question: Because the questions are due 2 days before the due date of the response, can we request a 2-week extension to the due date so that we have adequate time to evaluate the provided answers?
Answer: The solicitation will be extended so potential vendors have sufficient time to respond to the solicitation after the answers to these questions are posted as an amendment to the solicitation.
8. Question: Is there a budget for hardware as part of the development process?
Answer: This solicitation is requesting programming services, not products, therefore there is not a budget for any hardware.
