1. In the table at the end of Section 2 of the SOW, what does the “timeline” column represent?
· The Timeframe is the length of period of performance for the Base and each option period. The Base and Option Year 1 will have a period of performance of 12 months each. Option Quantities that do not require processing of fixed tissues to slides have a period of performance of 1 month each and those that do require processing of fixed tissues to slides have a period of performance of 2 months each.
2. In the same table, is the scope of work for all “Option Quantity” lines the same as described in the “Anticipated Volume” portion of Section 2?
· Yes. Each study will use 50-60 animals and up to 4 slides will be prepared per animal or up to 4 tissues will be harvested and fixed per animal.
3. Would you like a quote inclusive of both the pathology-only and histology/pathology studies? Or would you prefer separate quotes for each study type?
· The quote for the Base Year and Option Year 1 should be inclusive; the quote for the remaining options should be calculated based on evaluation of already-prepared slides or processing of slides from fixed tissues plus evaluation of those slides.
4. Regarding Section D (Delivery Schedule), how much notice should we expect to receive prior to receiving tissues/slides from each study?
· Typically, one week’s notice will be given prior to receipt of slides or tissues.
