PURPOSE:

The Contractor shall provide all personnel, transportation, equipment, supplies, supervision, other items and non‐personal services necessary to perform fire alarm and fire suppression system monitoring, inspection, testing, certification, maintenance and repair services as defined in this Statement of Work.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:

The St. Paul Island NMFS (National Marine Fisheries Service) facilities consist of two main buildings that require fire alarm and fire suppression system monitoring, maintenance, and support. The largest building is a two story dormitory‐style building with separate rooms and apartments, the smaller laboratory building is a single story structure housing laboratory rooms and offices. The facilities are located at 904 Polovina Turnpike, St Paul Island, Alaska 99660 within the community of St. Paul Island, AK which is served by a single fire department located approximately ½ mile away. There is a single fire alarm system in use in the two buildings. The fire alarm system (Firelite Model 90600) at the Staff Quarters at the NMFS Saint Paul Island Field Research Station shall be inspected to certify proper operation. Inspections and certifications shall comply with annual requirements for a NFPA 72 Report of Inspection and Test for the fire panel and systems to certify proper operation. At a minimum, inspections and testing shall be of the control unit and related equipment, secondary power systems, horns/strobes, heat detectors, pull stations, smoke detectors, and temperature sensors. Contractor shall identify any and all needed repairs and modifications needed during the onsite inspection. Deficiencies identified by the Contractor shall be repaired and documented immediately by the Contractor while on site and at the time of discovery if government‐supplied parts are available, or with approval using contractor‐supplied parts.

Documented results are due to the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) within five (5) business days after each inspection, and will provide a system record of inspection and testing annually including comprehensive digital and printed reports of all data for building systems, and recommendations for additional maintenance.

Housing will be provided for the contractor within the Staff Quarters while the contractor is conducting services for the government on St Paul Island. The contractor will be responsible for their own meals. Keys will be provided that will allow the contractor access to all rooms within the facility. The on‐site work schedule, building access, and logistics will be coordinated between the Contractor and the Government TPOC or technical staff. The Contractor shall comply with all building regulations while on the premises. On‐ site operations will generally be performed during normal business hours, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am ‐ 6:00 p.m.
