NFFN7600-22-00559 Camera Procurement Contract

Vendor Questions and Answers

Q: Do we need to provide all new cameras?

A: The contract requires all new cameras. The bid is to include 61 cameras which includes the replacement of all existing cameras.

Q: Is the cable replacement service to be included in the project?

A: Yes. The existing cabling may be reused if it tests working and operates within design specifications. Some may work and some may not. All the additional cameras will need new cabling.

Q: What is the storage required for NVR?

A: We would like to maintain at least 60 days of stored motion activated footage.

Q: Do you have rack mounts available?

A: We are supplying 1 full rack to support the equipment. It will have UPS power to a power strip on the right side of the rack and filtered building power on the left side of the rack. We will not be supplying any mounting hardware for the equipment into that rack.

Q: Can you elaborate on the number of cameras on 1st floor, 2nd floor and 3rd floor?

A: This contract is a “Design / Build” and therefore we will take recommendations however, the presumption is to add 8 on the 1st floor, 5 on the 2nd floor, 5 on the 3rd floor, 1 in workshop, 1 in dive shop, 4 in the warehouse.

Q: What is the height of masts required outdoors?

A: The height is to be determined by the vendors design. They must be sufficient height and spacing in order to accomplish the designed coverage distance. You can presume that the vegetation will be cleared from 4 feet on each side of the fence above the fence height. This may not be the case during the time of installation however, the design must meet the requirement as if the vegetation were clear.

Q: Do you have monitors/displays to view the surveillance video?

A: No. The intention is too remote into the system via desk top computer in order to view the content using a supplied VMS (Video Management System) application.

Q: Do you want to remotely view the CCTV cameras offsite: If so, where.

A: Yes, The intent would be to remote connect into the system via VPN connection and access the content using a supplied VMS (Video Management System) application.

Q: Do you want us to provide local and/or remote offsite viewing stations or will you provide the PCs for any required local or remote offsite viewing?

A: No, not the stations (computers) only the VMS software to access the system.
