About this file

The document is a Statement of Work for a construction project at Fort Barfoot in Virginia, soliciting bids for repairs and renovations to 8 barracks facilities in the 1600 area. The project will include HVAC removal and replacement, plumbing repair and replacement, electrical repair and replacement, painting, and carpentry work. The DPW is requesting a cost breakdown of material, equipment, and labor for the following renovations: replace oil-fired furnaces with LP-fired 95% efficient furnaces, replace ductwork, install new LP tanks, replace plumbing fixtures, build new mechanical rooms, paint interior surfaces, and perform electrical upgrades including new lighting and receptacles. The project has an estimated value of $2,400,000 and is being managed by the Fort Barfoot Department of Public Works.

The Statement of Work provides detailed specifications for the required work, including product model numbers and performance requirements. Contractors are required to submit all proposed equipment for approval prior to performing the work. The project will be awarded to a single contractor, with no set-asides or incumbent information provided. Funding for the project is from state and local sources, with the contracting agency being the Virginia Department of Public Works. The contract term is not specified, but the scope of work suggests this is a one-time construction project with no renewal options.
