This Performance Work Statement (PWS) details water analysis testing requirements for the Defense Health Agency at David Grant Medical Center, Travis Air Force Base, California. The contract involves conducting comprehensive water quality testing for hemodialysis equipment, including annual and monthly testing of water and dialysate from approximately 40 testable devices. The testing must meet Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) standards and includes multiple types of analyses such as AAMI water analysis (testing for metals, chemical compounds), environmental culture, colony count, endotoxin testing, and organism identification.

The contract is structured as a 2-year base contract with four additional one-year option periods and a 6-month extension, running from July 7, 2025 to January 6, 2031. The contractor, Spectra Laboratories, will be responsible for providing all necessary supplies for sample collection, shipping specimens within 8 hours of collection, and accessioning samples within 24 hours. They must use a web-based application (Korus) to manage test requisitions and provide detailed results, with verbal reports for any abnormal findings. The estimated workload is 40 tests annually, with an emphasis on maintaining strict quality control and meeting specific performance requirements for specimen handling and testing.
