About this file

This is a Notice of Intent to Award issued by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget (DTMB), Printing Services division, for a state printing services contract. The project involves the production of 1,000 special window catalog envelopes for the Michigan Bureau of Community and Health Services (BCHS). The RFQ (Request for Quote) number is 26*0680. Two vendors submitted bids for this project, with evaluation criteria including pricing, turnaround time, price hold duration, Michigan printing capability, and relevant experience. The print consultant overseeing this procurement is Kristin Bergan, who can be reached at 517-636-7743 or bergank@michigan.gov. Protests to the award decision must be submitted electronically through the Vendor Self Service portal by the deadline specified on the Notice of Intent to Award.

The Envelope Printery has been recommended as the awarded vendor at a quoted price of $790.00 with a 10 working day turnaround time. IMAGE PRINTING submitted a lower bid of $539.00 with a 12 working day turnaround time. Both vendors met the evaluation criteria requirements, including maintaining pricing for 20 years, possessing 25 years of experience, and being capable of printing in Michigan. The award recommendation was made based on best value to the State of Michigan, considering the optimal combination of evaluation criteria factors and price. DTMB Printing Services reserves the right to perform the work in-house and will issue an actual award only after an order is received and the decision is finalized.
