The NDBC Auxiliary (Aux)

Module provides Non-NDBC organizations or third party customers a method to acquire data from their analog or serial sensor or other system in near real time while deployed on an

NDBC buoy. The Aux module powers the sensor, acquires data and reports the data to NDBC’s data acquisition and reporting system for satellite transmission to NDBC.

Data acquisition timing, serial data message, and serial port are configurable. A single eight (8) pin micro wetmate connector provides the power and sensor connections.
