Newton County Schools (NCS) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) on October 24, 2025, seeking detailed information from qualified vendors regarding electric hand dryers for K-12 battery restrooms. The RFI is designed to gather comprehensive insights into hand dryer specifications, performance requirements, installation details, and safety considerations, with responses due by November 20, 2025, at 5:00 PM EST. Vendors are asked to provide written confirmation addressing various technical aspects, including manufacturer models, drying time performance, noise levels, energy efficiency, electrical requirements, ADA compliance, installation methods, health code compliance, and maintenance expectations.
This non-binding RFI is purely an information-gathering exercise and does not guarantee a subsequent Request for Proposals (RFP) or procurement. Vendors must submit responses electronically through Newton County Schools' e-bidding platform in PDF format and will not be compensated for their submissions. The district emphasizes that submitted materials become NCS property and may be subject to open records laws, with a recommendation that any proprietary information be submitted in a separate, clearly marked document. Questions regarding the RFI should be directed to Cory Craver, Director of Procurement, by November 6, 2025, and all responses will be distributed only to NCS staff for internal review.
