About this file
This document is a justification for other than full and open competition for a federal contract award. The Department of Veterans Affairs Regional Procurement Office West plans to award a sole source, five-month contract to Guard Force, Inc. for security guard services at the San Francisco VA Medical Center from May 1, 2023 through September 30, 2023, with a value of $916,810.40. Guard Force, Inc. is the incumbent contractor and holds a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business status. A sole source award is justified due to Guard Force's experience and performance, the need to avoid a lapse in services, and to allow time to competitively award a new long-term contract combining all security guard requirements.
