About this file

This is a Scope of Work document for the North Carolina Zoological Park's generator upgrade project. The project encompasses the demolition and replacement of generators and installation of automatic transfer switches (ATSs) at three locations: the Veterinary Hospital, Greenhouse, and Desert Pavilion. The base bid includes installation and construction work at the Veterinary Hospital and Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, with Alternate 1 covering the Greenhouse complex and Alternate 2 covering the Desert Pavilion. All generators and ATSs will be owner-provided and stored onsite. Bidders are responsible for transportation and relocation of equipment from storage areas to construction sites. The project scope also includes electrical work associated with generator upgrades, modifications to electrical distribution systems to incorporate the new generators and ATSs, and miscellaneous construction items at each location.

No specific response dates, due dates, site visit requirements, bidder's conferences, award dates, or contract term information is provided in this document. Pricing terms, set-asides, incumbent information, and funding sources are not detailed in the available file. Contractors should anticipate coordination with multiple departments across the zoological park and familiarity with both standard commercial generator installation and specialized electrical infrastructure modifications to integrate backup power systems into existing building systems.
