STATEMENT OF WORK
NB686020-12-01917
PURPOSE:
The Quantum Fabrication group operates the clean room for a number of different groups who participate in several activities including evaporation of metals onto the surface of wafers for the purpose of proper conduction of electrical currents along the paths that are designed by each circuit being built. Most of these circuits are very sensitive to any changes within the systems that they are in. This includes changes in purchases of precious metals and their proven purities. Any difference in impurities within the metals could cause a change in the way the chip conducts electrical current and therefore change the characteristics overall of the chip and what it is supposed to do.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:
Line Item 1:
The group requires gold pellets for evaporation within a system in the clean room that should be no larger than 0.12500” in diameter with a tolerance of (+/- 0.00500”). The length of these pellets should be on longer than 0.2500” with a tolerance of (+/- 0.0050”) These pellets will need to be 99.999 % purity.
Line Item 2:
The Quaff is looking to purchase a 2” diameter sputtering target that must measure 2” (+/- 0.00500”). The metal used to manufacture the target must be at least 99.999 pure. The target needs to be a nominal thickness of 0.25000” (+/- 0.00500”). There must be a CofA certificate included to identify any impurities within the target and the delivery date should be no longer than 2 weeks after the order is placed.
DELIVERABLES SCHEDULE: 2 weeks ARO
