About this file
This file contains draft construction drawings for NIST's Building 215 Clean Room HEPA Filter Replacement project. The drawings provide technical specifications and visual layouts for the planned renovation work at the NIST Gaithersburg Advanced Measurement Laboratory (AML), which houses an 1,800 square meter cleanroom facility, including 750 square meters of Class 100 cleanroom space completed and occupied in 2005.
The construction drawings support the sources sought announcement (Project #19-43, Solicitation Number NB195000-26-00181) for contractor services that include: replacement of approximately 70 variable air volume terminal units; replacement of approximately 54 existing airflow monitors; installation of approximately 32 new exhaust air valves; replacement of all approximately 1,200 existing terminal supply HEPA filters with repair of supply connections; repair and diagnostics of existing control systems; repair or modification of existing exhaust or supply ductwork; rebalancing of air handling units, exhaust fans, and exhaust tools; recertification of the cleanroom; and verification and repair/replacement of capped ducts as needed. This pre-solicitation announcement encourages responses from all small business organizations (SB, SDB, WOSB, HUBZone, VOSB, and SDVOSB), with the acquisition potentially being solicited as a 100% small business set-aside based on capability statements received.
