SAM.GOV ANNOUNCEMENT
SUBJECT: Intent to Sole Source for Applicare Support & Maintenance Services The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Application Systems Division currently has licenses for Applicare, which NIST uses to mimic a set of users of Web applications for Web application performance monitoring. Applicare allows NIST to record a series of actions against a Web application (also known as synthetic transactions) and save the recorded actions as a script. The scripts (synthetic transactions) are then played by Applicare at scheduled intervals which are configured, controlled, and initiated by Applicare. The performance data from each step in a script is collected and stored locally (on-premises solution). The historical performance data is saved in the Applicare repository and used for data analysis and generation of detailed and summary reports.
NIST’s requirements are for software product renewal, support and maintenance for this product, including security patches, upgrades to new versions of the product, help desk support to debug issues found in the product by NIST, and for answers to questions NIST has about using the software. The contractor shall also provide 120 hours of support service for assistance with product customization, installing, support, and configuring the product.
