About this file
This is a Notice of Intent to Award issued by the State of Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget Printing Services for a printing project. The project involves printing the NASCLA Consumer Guide to Home Improvement, with three quantity options: 1,000, 2,500, and 5,000 units. The RFQ number is 27*0040. Two bidders participated in the evaluation process: BRD and Lawson. All bidders met the evaluation criteria, including a 10 working day turnaround time, price hold, Michigan printing capability, and relevant experience. The recommended vendor is BRD, which provided the lowest pricing across all three quantity tiers. The award recommendation is based on best value, defined as the optimal combination of evaluation criteria factors and price. Kristin Bergan serves as the print consultant and point of contact for questions regarding the project.
BRD's pricing was significantly lower than Lawson's across all quantities: $793.73 versus $991.00 for 1,000 units, $1,200.00 versus $1,414.00 for 2,500 units, and $1,869.84 versus $2,084.00 for 5,000 units. The Notice of Intent to Award does not constitute a final award; Printing Services retains the right to perform the work in-house or issue an actual award upon receipt of an order. Protests must be submitted electronically through Vendor Self Service by the posted deadline, with submissions received after the deadline considered late.
