About this file

This document contains technical specifications for a narrow-linewidth fiber laser system (Item 1) required for procurement. The laser must deliver tunable output across wavelengths of 1071.18 nm and 1071.36 nm with output power exceeding 20 mW and a spectral linewidth below 3 kHz in single-frequency operation. The system must incorporate both thermal and piezo tuning capabilities, with thermal tuning covering the full range of 1071.18 nm to 1071.36 nm and piezo tuning providing a minimum range of 100 MHz. Piezo modulation speed must exceed 20 kHz.

The laser must include polarization-maintaining fiber coupled output with FC/APC connector featuring a polarization extinction ratio of at least 20 dB, an integrated internal output isolator, and all necessary control electronics and software for operation. The system is designed for installation in a temperature-controlled laboratory environment (dT < 0.5°C). Additional performance requirements include relative intensity noise (RIN) at 1 MHz of ≤ -110 dB/Hz, a signal-to-noise ASE ratio (50 pm) exceeding 65 dB, side mode suppression ratio greater than 50 dB, and power stability below 1 percent RMS over periods exceeding 8 hours. Output power beyond the 20 mW minimum will be supplied on a best-effort basis.
