Q&A
1) Is there any way that I can get a floor plan with equipment location? See attached Updated Floor Plan.
2) The final page shows a basic floor plan. Can you advise the scale of this floor plan, or estimated size of the space, so I know about how much cable or conduit is needed? Also, is there suspended ceiling throughout?
The dimensions are about 40’ x 120’ The location of the motions, BMS, Expanders, and controller (head-in) is noted on the attached drawing.
3.2 The Contractor shall use existing conduit or provide new EMT conduit to conceal all wiring from the panels to above the ceiling or between panels. All installation cable above suspended ceiling must be supported to protect from being damage in accordance with NFPA 70 National Electric Code.
It is acceptable to free wire above the ceiling when using proper cable support.
Since EMT conduit is only required at the controller location and above the door to wire BMS door sensor.
The about of cable is subjective. The installer can mount the DMP expanders in a serviceable location (below drop ceiling) to minimize cable usage as noted in the attached drawing.
