About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) log for a solicitation related to religious services, likely for a military installation. The log details six key questions and answers regarding service requirements, including specifics about worship services, rehearsals, and scheduling. The services involve both Protestant and Catholic religious services, with 104 rehearsals planned for the Defense Media Activity (DMA), including Thursday evening and Sunday morning rehearsals. Special services are defined as holiday events like Christmas Cantata and monthly planning meetings, with 12 additional service units. The document confirms there are no additional religious endorsement requirements beyond standard DBIDS (Defense Biometric Identification System) clearance, and worship services will include one Protestant and one Catholic service every Sunday, with flexible timing for the Catholic service.

QUESTION & ANSWER LOG

QUESTION ANSWER

Security/Background Requirements: The solicitation mentions DBIDS requirements for base access. Are there any additional religious endorsement or background check requirements beyond standard DBIDS clearance for this position, such as AMS (Archdiocese for Military Services) approval?

No.

Service Structure - Rehearsals: Do the piano accompaniment services (104 units) and special services (12 units) include rehearsals, or are rehearsals separate? We notice an additional line item for rehearsals (26 units) that doesn't align with the total number of services. Are these 26 rehearsals in addition to any rehearsals included with worship and special services?

There will need to be 104 Rehearsals for the DMA. One on Thursdays at 1800 and another on Sundays before the Protestant Service as well as 12 extra to cover any special services. That is 2 per week for 52 weeks equaling 104 plus the additional 12 for special services for a grand total of 116.

Service Breakdown: Can you provide a breakdown of the worship services (e.g., how many Protestant vs. Catholic services per week/month)?

There will be a Protestant Service and Catholic Service every Sunday.

Special Services Definition: What constitutes a "Special Service" versus regular worship services? Are these holiday services, memorial services, or other specific events?

These would be Special Holiday Services such as a Christmas Cantata. Special services also include a monthly planning meeting.

Additional Rehearsal Clarification: What would the separate rehearsal line items specifically cover if they are additional to service rehearsals? The rehearsal CLIN covers all reheasals.

May I please confirm the schedule of worship services and rehearsal times for both the Catholic and Protestant denominations?

The Current Schedule is Rehersal for Protestant Services Thursdays at 1800, and Sundays at 0930 for Protestant Service at 1030. The Catholic service schedule has not yet been confirmed but will most likely be Sundays at either 0900 or 0930 with no rehearsals. The schedule is subject to change.
