About this file

This document appears to be a set of questions and answers regarding specific product configuration details, likely for a technology procurement. The Q&A reveals strict requirements for hardware specifications, with key points including: (1) no alternate brand proposals are permitted, (2) Trade Agreements Act (TAA) compliance is not a requirement, and (3) accessories cannot be substituted with other brands. The final and most substantive response indicates that a previously requested configuration (Smart Card Reader, Fingerprint Reader, Control Vault 3+, RJ-45) is not technically feasible. The only available configuration is a device with no fingerprint reader, no smart card reader, no Control Vault 3+, with RJ-45 connectivity being the sole mandatory feature.

Text version

1. Can we suggest and propose other brand equal alternates?

- NO.

2. We do not see any TAA compliant requirement, can you please advise if that is a requirement?

- NO, is not a requirement

3. For the accessories, can we provide other brand equals?

- NO.

4. It does not appear that the requirement of "Smart Card Reader only (No Fingerprint Reader), Control Vault 3+, includes RJ-45" is a valid customization option, even built from scratch, due to manufacturer/hardware limitations. The options are:

- No Fingerprint Reader, No Smart Card Reader, No Control Vault 3+, Only

RJ-45 is required.
