About this file

This is a Questions and Responses document for RFQ N68520-26-Q-1031, a Navy procurement for a dry stripping cabinet to support Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW). The Government seeks to procure one Pauli Systems RAM 31 or equivalent dry stripping cabinet capable of processing metal components for LM2500, F/A-18, VRT, and E2D programs. The cabinet must be dedicated to aluminum oxide media use only, feature at least a 900 CFM reclaimer with 2-stage cyclone separator, and include an adjustable media flow valve. The Government does not require ACGIH compliance, HEPA filtration, enhanced LED lighting, enhanced visibility features, soundproof enclosure around the blower, or NSN designation for the equipment.

The Government indicated preference for features that benefit operational efficiency and ease of maintenance, including ergonomic and integrated safety features for extended operator use, commercial off-the-shelf parts for maintainability, an easy-to-use centralized instrument panel, and a long-lasting serviceable cabinet. Notably, the Government prioritized having maintenance personnel already trained for service with on-hand parts and materials availability. The procurement includes an on-site turnkey installation requirement with a technician to perform installation, tooling, system start-up, testing, and appropriate adjustments. The Government currently utilizes photohelic gauges for pressure monitoring. All contractor questions were required to be submitted by 3:00 PM EDT on May 22, 2026, with responses posted as updates to the announcement.
