About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document providing clarifications from the Government regarding the demolition of mobile paint blast booths at Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE), Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, North Carolina, under Solicitation Number N6852026Q1038.

The Q&A addresses key operational and logistical requirements for the demolition project. The paint blast booth is located outdoors in Building 3766 within the fenced FRC East industrial area. Contractors may bring rental equipment such as manlifts, forklifts, and company trucks, provided operators are certified and certificates are submitted with the quote and technical capability narrative. Pictures and drawings of the blast/paint booth are available upon request. Regarding debris handling, the Government does not define a specific "manageable" size but requires that all debris fit within the furnished roll-off containers (dimensions: 99.75 inches wide × 70.50 inches length × 55 inches height) without overhang. Contractors must segregate metal waste into copper, aluminum, and steel categories. The Statement of Work requirement to cut structural and non-structural components into safe handling sections is clarified to mean pieces that fit within the container dimensions without protrusion. This document does not address pricing terms, response dates, or award information, which are contained in the associated solicitation.
