Thank you for the great questions. See Q&A below.
Question from Email 1 1 Good morning. Can you please tell me if the window on this Solicitation is rectangular? Or is there a shape? Would you have a drawing?
There is no drawing. The dimensions listed in the SOW form a rectangle
Question from Email 2
1. RFQ lists material as polycarbonate. But then also lists Lexan brand polycarbonate. Do the windows have to be Lexan brand, or can they be any brand of polycarbonate so long as the specifications and salient characteristics are met? If Lexan is required, what grade? And is Brand Name or Equal authorized?
See Amendment 1 for updated details on the requirement.
1. Is there a material specification to follow? Mil-spec, AMS, SAE, etc? If so, please specify type, grade, etc. of material. For example, mil spec A-A-59502 is the DoD specification document for Polycarbonate Sheet. But commercial specs can also be referenced.
See Amendment 1 for updated details on the requirement.
1. Related to Question #2: What kind of Polycarbonate? i.e. General Purpose? UV resistant? Abrasion resistant? Etc. This will have a HUGE impact on functionality, price, and lead time.
See Amendment 1 for updated details on the requirement.
1. 240” sheets are very large. Have these sized sheets been purchased before? If so, how did they fair shipping, lifting, etc? It can be done, but just curious if there has been any purchase history for this material.
The sheets were purchased before and were shipped with a long wooden box with a semi-truck. Currently, there no more information available on the last purchase.
