Amendment 0002:

1. Extend the proposal due date from 26 June 24 @ 1400 EST to 8 July 2024 @1400 EST.

2. Remove Attachment 3 Davis Bacon Wage Determination dated 24 May 24 RI and replace with Davis-Bacon Act WD # RI20240001 dated 21 June 24.

3. Provide answers to RFIs 0001:

1. A. The current requirement calls for completion within 180 days from contract award. Current lead times for these units are 24-32 weeks out if BAA is required, slightly less if not required. Will BAA be required and if so, will the client extend this current CCD?

Response: Yes BAA is required a revision of the CCD shall be discussed during the Precon based on unit lead times.

2. Will Armaflex be allowed for usage in lieu of cellular glass insulation?

Response: Yes, Armaflex is allowed.

3. DRWG M-1 states to TAB each system and connect to existing CRU units. Requirements do not state what the client would like each point/diffuser rated at for CFM…? There needs to be some clarification on how the sequence for operating the 2 existing and one new CRU will work and what will operate the equipment as desired as it is not called out within the spec/DRWGs. The Vertiv controllers will not work since the one unit is trying to back up 2 systems. It appears that CRU3A is meant to be able to back up either of the existing CRU units. Please confirm that is the intent.

If that is the case, what does the client require/plan on for a controls package to:

Sense that one of the operating units is having an issue and that you want to turn on CRU-3A to cool that units space.

Control the dampers for the unit that will be turned off Control the damper for the unit to be turned on (CRU-3A) – only one of the two dampers is likely to be opened?

How is unit CRU-3A going to be exercised so it gets some run time?

What testing should be done of the operation during startup and testing of new system CRU-

3A.

Response: The new CRU is strictly for backup purposes. The 3 units will not be operating at the same time.

The new CRU is a backup of both units, if unit 1 goes down, the government can now isolate the area via the new duct work and dampers and continue to supply air to either space as needed. It is the same process for if unit 2 goes down. Motorized mechanical electrical operated dampers will need to be installed and wired to a switch located on wall. New unit will need to operate prior to the close out of the project. A shutdown of one unit will be necessary in order to test the new unit.

4. Seeing as how the lead times for these units are past the upcoming summer, will the client extend this proposal due date by a couple weeks?

Response: The proposal has been extended to 8 July 2024 @ 2:00 PM EST.

All other solicitation terms and conditions remain unchanged.
