STATEMENT OF WORK

REFURBISHMENT OF THREE (3) ELECTRICAL MOTOR GENERATORS AT NUWCDIVNPT

1.0 BACKGROUND

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) has three (3) motor generators which provide a continuous supply of non-standard electrical power to Mission Critical shipboard test equipment in Building 1319. The motor generators have been in continuous service since approximately

1995. While they have been periodically serviced over the years, recent inspections have revealed an excessive buildup of dirt, dust, and grease on the windings. In addition, recent electrical resistance testing of the windings on all three of the units has revealed a significant degradation of the winding insulation.

2.0 SCOPE

The scope of this contract is to refurbish three electrical motor generators. These motor generators provide non-standard electrical power to the Code 3431 lab spaces in building 1319. T Overhead funding will be applied to this contract. The three motor generators located in Building 1319 are listed in the table below.

Make and Model Serial # Input Output

Kato K260733000 P10913 480V/61A/60Hz/3Ph 440Delta/65.6A/60Hz/3Ph, 40 KW, 50 KVA

Kato K26071000 P10912 480V/61A/60Hz/3Ph 120Delta/241A/400Hz/3Ph, 40 KW, 50 KVA

Kato K264090000 P11990 480V/79A/60Hz/3Ph 155-300VDC/323-167A, 50 KW, 52.63 KVA
