BRAND NAME JUSTIFICATION

Core Impact Pro Software Licenses

PR#: 1300713312

BACKGROUND

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) Code 25 has been tasked per Naval Sea Systems (NAVSEA) Command memo 5239 Ser OOI-180/294 dated 7

August 2017 to build NAVSEA Red Team (RT) NUWC as part of its federated Cyber RT. The mission of the team is to conduct adversarial assessments of cyber vulnerabilities in various

Department of Defense (DoD) systems. Each team and its laboratory has DeVIL accreditation to perform this type of work, for which Core Impact Pro software is necessary.

Core Impact Pro is a comprehensive solution for assessing and testing security vulnerabilities which replicates attacks that pivot across systems, devices, and applications, revealing how chains of exploitable vulnerabilities open paths to systems and data. It provides visibility into the effectiveness of endpoint defenses and reveals where the most pressing risks exist across the network. This also enables evaluation of capabilities to detect, prevent, and respond to real-world, multi-staged threats. The system can expand the number of Penetration and Red Team users who have access to Core Impact Pro, to more effectively conduct penetration tests without restricting the number of Internet Protocols (IPs). By utilizing this software, cyber vulnerabilities tests will be conducted and assessments provided for NUWCDIVNPT customers.

The Independent Government Cost Estimate is $31,500 for the quantity of 1 license.

BRAND NAME JUSTIFICATION

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) was the first to implement its

RT and it serves as the model for other NAVSEA centers. Core Impact Pro software is required for RT NUWC’s computer and network testing in order to ensure integrity, continue compatibility and functionality across NAVSEA RTs, and ensure interfacing with the

NUWCDIVNPT network. The risks of utilizing software other than Core Impact Pro are too high, especially when focusing on cybersecurity issues. Using any other software would require all other NAVSEA Warfare Centers to adjust their current plans to be compliant with that of

NUWCDIVNPT, causing unnecessary costs, delays, and probable vulnerabilities.

RESELLERS
