About this file

This document contains an amendment to a solicitation for Covid-19 disinfecting services for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division. The amendment provides clarification in response to a question regarding acceptable disinfecting equipment. Specifically, it confirms that a backpack fogger that mists a disinfectant killing 99.999% of microbes is acceptable to meet the requirements, as an alternative to the power washer device listed in the original solicitation. The solicitation closing date remains unchanged. The requirement is a 100% small business set-aside for NAICS code 561210 with a small business size standard of $41.5 million. The best value tradeoff source selection process will be used.

AMENDMENT 0002

QUESTION

1) In Paragraph 3.3, page 22, you list a KaiVac 1750 or equivalent as the device the teams use. The KaiVac is a form of power washer that cleans dirt. Our company uses a backpack fogger to spray our disinfectant that kills 99.999% of microbes, and protects the surface against them.

The fogger device does not power wash away dirt. It mists the area, and the particles disinfect and sanitize what they land on, including the coronavirus per the EPA registration we have.

Is this mode acceptable to meet your requirements?

ANSWER

1) That is acceptable.
