Statement of Work TestVonics Air Data Calibrators

1.0 Introduction

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) Program has a requirement to procure TestVonics Air Data Calibrators (ADC) to support the current NAVAIR METCAL pressure calibration workload. The ADCs in the NAVAIR inventory are used to control and measure altitude and airspeed pressures in Automated Test Equipment applications. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Corona (NSWCCO) Measurement Science (MS) Department has identified the TestVonics ADC M/N ADC-2580SYS as the commercially available system that can accommodate the excess of 3,200 hours of annual workload for the precision pressure standard systems in the fleet inventory. In addition, the ADC-2580SYS meets the requirements of recent and anticipated test instrument workload being added to the NAVAIR inventory.

2.0 Background

These ADCs are used at intermediate level calibration laboratories afloat and ashore, as well as the depot level calibration laboratories. The workload for these ADCs has increased over the last fifteen years. At a minimum 72% of the current ADCs in the NAVAIR METCAL program’s inventory are out of service due to broken and aging components. The repair of these legacy units is not considered commercially viable. TestVonics M/N ADC-2580SYS are being procured as a replacement standard that can support the current NAVAIR METCAL pressure calibration workload.

3.0 Scope

The scope of this effort is to procure up to 135 TestVonics Air Data Calibrators M/N ADC-2580SYS.
