Statement of Work for Resistance Calibration Standards

1.0 Introduction:

The use of the resistance calibration standards sought on this three (3) year IDIQ procurement is in support of Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Aviation Fleet Intermediate Calibration Activities, Fleet Training Activities and Aviation Navy Calibration Laboratories (NCLs) to support Aviation Organizational and Intermediate (I) level maintenance assets. The standard resistors listed here are used in more than sixty Instrument Calibration Procedures (ICPs). They are intended for use in but not limited to the calibration of ohmmeters, current calibrators, digital voltmeters, programmable current sources, fixed step attenuators and variable attenuators. It should be understood that throughout this document the terms “standard” or “calibration standard” are referring to articles of physical hardware used to calibrate or verify the operation of devices that use electrical energy.

2.0 Background:

The items sought on this procurement are replacement for items currently in the NAVAIR METCAL inventory that have become defective and need replacement.
