Q1: Is there a certain load capacity they are looking at (i.e. our WD250 has a 6 tray capacity, our WD290 has a 9 tray capacity) - both fall within the requested dimensions.

A1: The washer/disinfector shall be capable of sterilizing a minimum of ten (10) daily loads and have a dimensional footprint no greater than 84"x36"x48" (HxWxD). There are not specifics with tray capacity, please provide a washer/disinfector you believe best meets the minimum requirements.

Q2: The Belimed Protect chemistry line does not require a neutral pH detergent as part of the wash cycle

(traditionally this is the case and with most other brands). Because of this we are able to reduce cycle time by approximately 8 minutes by eliminating a second wash step, we are also able to save on cost because only two products are required. They are requesting a starter chemistry kit will all three. Would our two be okay or is the neutral needed for a specific reason. If needed for eye cases for example, we have an ophthalmic detergent we can provide.

A2: "The unit shall include a starter kit of instrument lubricant, enzymatic presoak detergent, and neutral pH detergent. " The following sentence was stated to ensure the vendor provided a detergent starter kit for the washer/disinfector. From market research these items were included in most starter kits. If the proposed washer/disinfector does not require a neutral pH detergent for operation please state that in the response.

Q3: Are any racks or transport carts requested? If this is a smaller facility and they are planning to keep the rack inside the machine, they will still likely need one transport cart to be able to take the racks out daily to clean the screens inside the unit (as required by AAMI and the Belimed IFU).

A3: The unit shall comply with at least the following Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation

(AAMI) standard; ST79: A comprehensive guide to steam sterilization and sterility assurance in health care facilities. The unit shall include all required accessories for full functionality.

Q4: Is ceiling height known?

A4: The requested unit shall be a pass through washer/disinfector with a dimensional footprint no greater than

84"x36"x48" (HxWxD). The vendor shall provide installation of the washer/disinfector based on Attachment 01

Floor Plan, page 6.
