Naval Oceanographic Office Statement of Work Differential Hydrophones HTI-97-DA/PC
1. Code N93 of the Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVO) collects ocean ambient noise to support navy-wide ocean modeling databases. Code N93 uses ambient noise acoustical buoys in the oceans to collect in-situ data in support of this tasking.
2. Hydrophone: The contractor shall deliver to NAVO HTI-97-DA/PC hydrophones that meet the following specifications:
a. Sensitivity: -194 dB (re: 1V/microPA)
b. Capacitance: 3.6 nF (Nominal)
c. Frequency Response: 1 – 20 kHz
d. Cabling: Falmat FM061505-1CP
e. Cable Length: not to exceed 10 feet.
f. Rated Depth: 7000 meters (including cable and connector)
3. Mating Connector: Cabling and connectors will be specified at the delivery order level and will be one of the following types:
a. SubConn MCIL3M with MCDLS-M Locking Sleeve.
b. Seacon VMK-3FS K-FLS-D
4. Contractor shall perform testing and certification checks as outlined in paragraph 5 for used HTI-97-DA/PC hydrophones returned by NAVOCEANO.
5. Documentation: Documentation of each hydrophone delivered to NAVO shall include test data showing sensitivity, capacitance, dissipation at 1 kHz. Resonance plots (dbV vs Frequency) of each unit from DC to 100 kHz. Each unit shall be pressure cycled twice and then held for 30 minutes at 10,000 PSI. Leakage current of the hydrophone shall be measured before and after cycles. Shield integrity checks and polarity response test results shall also be included. All testing shall be performed at the expense of the contractor.
6. Period of Performance: Ordering period for this contract shall be for five (5) years.
7. Delivery Schedule: 16 weeks upon receipt of delivery order. The contractor is responsible to notify the NAVOCEANO Contracting Office and the NAVOCEANO Technical Point of Contact when contractor cannot meet a delivery schedule.
