STATEMENT OF WORK

K5000 Repair

1.0 BACKGROUND:

The K5000 towfish is a specialized product that cannot be repaired by NAVO’s Depot Maintenance Shop. This unit is proprietary to Klein Associates. Our K5000 S/N 337 was recently tested and it was determined that the towfish had bad transducer. The starboard transducer is transmitting at level too weak for a proper towfish surveying. The in-house testing also was able to show that the towfish had a faulty depth sensor that will also need repair.

2.0 SCOPE:

Klein Associates will repair the K5000 towfish. The bad transducer will be repaired/ placed. The Depth sensor will be repaired/ replaced.

3.0 OBJECTIVES:

Klein Associates shall return the K5000 towfish S/N 337 system to 100% operational status. The appropriate test should be performed to ensure operation.
