N61331-21-T-VT31 Q&A
Industry Question #1:
For CDRL A002, does the dimensional inspection report required to be 100% of the parts, or just a sample size?
Our internal procedure is IAW ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 (C) = 0, General Level II, AQL 2.5. For example, for the fixture plate P/N 8741733-1, we would make 18 pieces and inspect 5 pieces from the lot of parts.
We can inspect 100% of the parts, but if we go with our internal sample size, I can significantly reduce the cost.
Government Response #1 We agree with a sample of the product (ie. sample of 5 of the 18).
Thanks for the question, it makes sense not QA every piece if the initial fabrication pieces are sampled/inspected.
