About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details requirements for the removal and installation of pallet racks at the NAVSEA Southwest Regional Maintenance Center's New Boat Barn facility located next to Building 3602 in San Diego, CA. The contractor must remove existing pallet racks from 4 bays and install new galvanized pallet racks in the same location for miscellaneous equipment storage (not boat storage). The vendor is required to provide their own lifts and material handling equipment.

The new pallet rack system specifications include 5 teardrop uprights (42" deep x 192" tall galvanized 14 gauge with 3" x 3" columns and seismic footplates), 24 step beams (144" long x 6" face with 6,337 lbs static capacity), and 36 wire mesh decks (42" deep x 46" wide with galvanized 3 channel step supports). The installation area dimensions are 48' length x 6' depth x 18' height. The period of performance is 6 weeks from contract award. Points of contact are Jeremiah Miller (619-556-8020) and Paul Grdina (619-556-2608) from the SWRMC Diving Department. The SOW includes a standard clause stating that Southwest Regional Maintenance Center will not be liable for payments related to delays or additional work not properly negotiated and approved by the contracting officer.
