About this file

This Performance Work Statement (PWS) details a maintenance service agreement for AMADA Fiber Laser and Laser/Turret Punch Systems at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) in Bremerton, WA. The contract requires AMADA, as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), to provide comprehensive maintenance services for two specific machines: a Laser/Turret Punch system (installed in 2009) and a Fiber Laser system (installed in 2025). The primary objectives are to maintain full operational capacity of both systems through annual maintenance, preventative maintenance, repairs, technical support, and software updates.

The contract will be a four-year agreement from September 18, 2025, to September 17, 2029, with AMADA providing services including laser optical alignments, critical fiber laser engine maintenance, component replacements, 24-hour technical support, and comprehensive machine inspections. The contractor will supply certified AMADA Technical Specialists, cover all travel and service costs, and provide additional benefits such as a 20% discount on AMADA parts, free Fanuc parts repair, and critical fiber laser engine maintenance. The total value of individual repair task orders is capped at $40,000, and the government intends this to be a sole-source contract with AMADA given their proprietary knowledge of the equipment.
