About this file
This document is a Government Responses to Request for Clarification (RFC) 001-006 for a naval contract related to testing and inspecting fire alarm and gas detection systems. The government responses address six key questions from a potential contractor, including the availability of inspection reports, facility drawings, and specifics about H2S detectors. Key details include the government's confirmation of Honeywell FC-F2-0/50-N1 H2S detector model and the specific quantities of detectors to be tested per barge (ranging from 1-2 detectors per vessel, with YRBM-30 having the most at 2 detectors).
The document indicates a contract extension granted to Monday, 12 May 2025, allowing the contractor additional time to submit a complete and accurate offer. The barges are primarily located at PSNS, Bangor, and Vigor shipyards in Seattle. No annual inspection reports or drawings of fire alarm control units or facilities were made available by the government, which may impact the contractor's preparation of their proposal for testing and inspection services of FENWAL 6000 Fire Alarm Systems and H2S Gas Detection Systems on COMPACFLT Berthing and Messing Barges.
