About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for solicitation N4523A25Q0005 from the Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command, dated February 4, 2025, regarding rubber sheets procurement.
The document contains a single vendor question seeking clarification about the length requirement for silicone rubber sheets (36" wide x 1/8" thick x 25' long). The vendor notes that most commercial suppliers, including Fastenal, offer sheets in 15-foot or shorter lengths and asks if providing two 15-foot sheets per roll (totaling 30 feet) would be acceptable instead of a single 25-foot sheet. The Navy's response clearly states that per their technical ordering data, the material must be supplied in a continuous 25-foot length.

N4523A25Q0005 Rubber Sheets 2.4.2025
Question:
Want to clarify the length requirement for the silicone rubber sheets (36” wide x 1/8” thick x 25’ long).
Most commercial suppliers, including Fastenal, offer sheets in 15-foot or shorter lengths. Would it be acceptable to provide two 15-foot sheets per roll (totaling 30 feet) instead of a single continuous 25-foot sheet? Or is a single, unbroken 25-foot sheet mandatory?
Response:
Per our technical ordering data, we require this material to be in a continuous 25 foot length.
