Questions for solicitation N4523A24Q5701_Laundry Cleaning Services
1. Q - Who was the previous incumbent on this contract and what was the solicitation number for the previous contract?
A – This information cannot be given out. You may search SAM.gov for answers.
2. Q - Leather repairs and cleaning of Hoods, leather welder's, repairs/replace Velcro, zippers, snaps, seams, (all of this is extra cost)
A – Yes the contractor needs to be able to perform the repairs on the leathers, Tuffweld Coveralls, and the miscellaneous repairs. The different types of repairs each have a line item [on the Laundry
Item List] and would have an associated cost per repair.
3. Q - Can my representative from Cintas set up a site visit to come and see exactly what needs to be done?
A – No, the contractor will not be able to have a site visit.
4. Q - How many different site locations will it be for Cintas to go and pick up and deliver?
A – The site locations are listed in the PWS. Pick up/drop off locations include Building 59, 431, 448, and 880 and Dry Docks DD1, DD4, and DD5.
5. Q - Will there be a central pick-up and delivery location? How many places will the driver have to go to pick up all the items? If he picks up 500 coveralls on Tuesday, does your company have those coveralls have a bar code so we can keep up with what items belong to what site?
A – There isn’t just [one] “central” pick up location, but Bld. 431 is the primary location. The driver would need to pick up/deliver to all of the locations listed in the PWS. Our items do not have bar codes. It is the contractor’s responsibility to keep our item separated from any other companies’ items.
