Questions and Answers #1 N4523A21Q5716 Base Shredding Services
This document contains questions and answers pertaining to Combined Synopsis Solicitation N4523A21Q5716 for Base Shredding Services
1. Page 1 of the RFQ indicates that a prospective offeror must complete Exhibit A. Where is Exhibit A? I am assuming it is the pages requesting CLIN dollar amounts. Please confirm.
Exhibit A is posted with the Solicitation on https://BETA.SAM.GOV, under the attachments section.
2. I want to make sure I understand what you are communicating in the tables in the statement of work pages 4-6. Please confirm that my description below of each of these tables is correct. Also help me understand why these tables were included with this RFQ.
a. Contract minimum/maximum Quantity- This table means that the Navy is prepared to commit to a minimum of 6 months at base price (CLIN 0001) and a maximum of 60 months at the final negotiated price. In other words the contract’s duration will be at least 6 months and will not request services beyond this.
b. Contract minimum/maximum Contract Value- This table means the Navy is prepared to commit to a minimum of one month of service at final negotiated price and a maximum of 12 months at final negotiated price for each CLIN.
c. CLIN minimum/maximum Quantity - This table means the Navy is prepared to commit to a minimum of six months of service at final negotiated price and a maximum of 12 months of service at final negotiated price for CLIN 0001 but for all other CLINs there may be no shredding requested, or a maximum of 12 months of shredding requested.
d. CLIN minimum/maximum CLIN Value- This table means the Navy is prepare to pay for a minimum of six months at final negotiated price and a maximum of 12 months at final negotiated price for CLIN 0001 but for all other CLINs there may be no shredding requested and therefore no payment, or a maximum of 12 months of shredding requested, paid for at the negotiated price.
e. CLIN minimum/maximum CLIN Order Value- This table communicates precisely the same information to me as the table before (points c and d). I do not understand the distinction of CLIN Delivery/Task order. Please clarify.
The above questioned tables are included with the solicitation because the anticipated resultant contract type shall be an Indefinite Quantity Indefinite Delivery type contract. IAW FAR 16.504(a)(1): “The contract must require the Government to order and the contractor to furnish at least a stated minimum quantity of supplies or services. In addition, if ordered, the contractor must furnish any additional quantities, not to exceed the stated maximum.”
