This Statement of Work (SOW) details Portsmouth Naval Shipyard's requirements for leasing a 100 HP Low Pressure Air Compressor (LPAC) system for establishing a Tool Air system at Sub Base New London, CT. The comprehensive system includes a 400 SCFM electric compressor, a 500-gallon air receiving tank, a 400 CFM desiccant air dryer, 250 feet of 3-inch air hose, and a distribution manifold. Key specifications include 100% oil-free air delivery, maximum system pressure of 125 PSIG, a regulated air pressure set point of 115 PSIG, and capability to operate in outdoor environments with temperatures ranging from -10°F to 110°F.

The SOW outlines extensive requirements for the compressor, including UL listing, remote emergency stop functionality, air-cooled design, and specific electrical requirements of 460 VAC, 3-phase operation. The contractor is responsible for equipment delivery, startup, commissioning, training, and maintenance, including weekly inspections and preventative maintenance. Additional obligations include providing technical instructions, emergency repair contact information, and delivering an Equipment Data Sheet. The system must meet industry standards such as CGA G-7.1-2018 and OSHA regulations, with the compressor designed to protect downstream equipment and operate reliably in challenging maritime industrial environments.
