F.A.Q.

01/03/2025

1. Is this solicitation for four (4) or five (5) 3-Ton Forklifts as in Period of Performance section it states five (5)?

a. This is for four (4) 3-Ton Forklifts. Updated RFQ has been submitted to SAM posting reflecting this change.

2. Is the solicitation close for this 1/1/2024?

a. The solicitation close for this has been extended until 1/9/2025 @1100 hours EST.

3. Can you tell me if the Toyota line of products is acceptable to submit for the solicitation

a. Yes

4. I am writing to seek clarification regarding the Statement of Work for [N3904025Q2891] Forklift Rental and maintenance, Specifically, I would like more details about the provisions and responsibilities related to spills or leaks. I would like to clarify a point in the Statement of Work regarding contractor responsibilities. One section state that "The contractor shall be responsible for all materials and labor for preventative maintenance and repairs not arising out of abuse or negligence by the Government." Another section mentions that "The contractor shall reimburse the Government for containing the spill."

I'm trying to confirm that the first section applies to "The contractor shall reimburse the Government for containing the spill."

a. If the spill occurs that is not normal than the vendor would be responsible. If the machine is in working order and a spill occurs and it is deemed our fault, then the contractor would not be responsible.

5. What type of ground surface with the forklifts be used on? The company states that the quotes are rated for concrete not grass.

a. Concrete / asphalt

6. What type of work will be performed with the forklifts?

a. I cannot go into specific details, but it would be normal/typical material movement associated with normal forklift usage.
