N3904020Q0042 Questions & Answers 1-5, December 12, 2019
1. The prescribed time frame to perform these tasks is 45 days from 1/01/2020 to 2/15/2020. Will this dates could be revised after Craft Survey?
1a. The time frame is firm. Historical data across multiple years shows this period of time is reasonably attainable.
2. Has a UT survey been performed or will one be required to determine structural repair sections?
2a. UT survey has not been performed. Underwater hull repair, or plate replacement will be estimated and frontloaded.
3. Will YC-1619 and 1620 be docked during survey to inspect underwater hull?
3a. No.
4. Will “As built” drawing package will be available immediately after contract award? Can it be made available now?
4a. As built drawings, if available from the Navy Service Craft Drawing Repository could be provided upon award through PNSY contracting office.
5. It appears that drawings produced will be repair package drawings with Bill of Materials. These would allow to develop Task identification, Class C cost estimates. Do you anticipate that these drawings only identify repair and/or include fabrication information?
5a. Most items will be “repair” in nature. Fabrication, if required, would include lifeline stanchions/sockets, returning to as-built conditions, or structural replacement in the event that existing structural deterioration is beyond “repair”.
