TABLE V: TVENT FOOTNOTES WITH ANNOTATIONS

FOOTNOTE A (IDENTIFIER column) OR FOOTNOTE B (DELIVERY DATE column):

1A CRITICAL For the single either Normal (–N) capacity (LA Class) or Large (–L) capacity (VA Class) chiller with its respective pump that provides CHilled Water (CHW) directly to the ship, the machinery is continuously needed irrespective of the season (i.e. NON-SEASONAL) and for the entire duration of the

1B SUPPORT drydock period. The single asterisk () or double diamond () identifies the component as either a CRITICAL machine or SUPPORT equipment in which there are supplemental mandatory Technical Requirements (TRs) as specified in this Technical Specification (TS).

2A PRIMARY ITEM Bidders on the Request for Proposal (RFP) and eventually followed by the successful Vendor for the terms on the Contract may choose to indicate only specified line ITEMs (V##s) consisting of either a MACHINE – EQUIPMENT – WORK ELEMENT to be NOT SEPARATELY PRICED (NSP). However, 2B LINKED TO V## there has to be a method of LINKAGE for the NSP ITEM to a particular PRIMARY ITEM so that there is a mutual understanding between the Government and the Vendor as to the contractual obligation for the calendar dates and duration of the NSP ITEM. In other words, as long as the 2A PRIMARY ITEM is under lease at some significant value other than zero so that contract extensions can be legitimately ordered in case of a Government necessity to do so, thus, establishing a quid-pro-quo, then its 2B LINKED TO V## can be stipulated at no additional cost (i.e. NSP). The issued Contract will reflect such an election by the successful Bidder / Vendor by indicating NSP for that particular LINKED ITEM (V##) or its equivalent function. If no such linkage is indicated in TABLE V: TVENT

MACHINERY & EQUIPMENT SCHEDULE (DELIVERY DATE column FOOTNOTE A), then that particular line ITEM (V##) is sufficiently significant to warrant separate and meaningful pricing.

3 SAME AS V## This machinery line ITEM directly complements or supports the referenced V## in that the scheduled DELIVERY / RETURN / EXTENSION dates for the footnoted 3 SAME AS V## line ITEM would be the same as and generally would change with any revisions in the dates to the referenced V##. Albeit similar to the 2B LINKED TO V## footnote, where they differ is that the 3 SAME AS V## line ITEM is a major piece of machinery and not a built-in component (e.g. pump) nor an equipment line ITEM.

Hence, there must be a lease rate of some significant value other than zero or NSP (Not Separately Priced) so that contract date changes can be legitimately ordered in the case of a Government necessity to do so.

4# ONE TIME FEE There are some Contract Line ITEMs requiring services (labor) of a Vendor and are NON-EMERGENT.

They can best be coordinated and scheduled in advance by the responsible Shipyard Party via communiqué with the Vendor to include an E-mail (Cc: Vendor / COR / Contract Specialist / TSDE) to document the line ITEM request. The Project's Temporary Systems Zone Manager [TSZM] should schedule (preferably, at least two workdays in advance): (A) Vendor installation of E-STOPS (ITEM W1: E-STOP [AHU]–##); (B) general Vendor WORK LINE (WL) TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE (TECH) (ITEM W#: TECH [≤4HR]–##) for SERVICE CALLS (SVCE) / OPERATIONAL SUPPORT (OPNL) / INSTALLATION

SUPPORT (INSTL) / TRAINING SESSIONS (TRNG) for any issue pertaining to the several TVENT systems such as (re)adjustment of thermostat settings (post-cool or post-heat), changing air-flow quantities (to achieve desired temperature or Relative Humidity), connecting Chilled Water (CHW) piping (to include hose assemblies & manifolds), attaching Flexible Ducting (ITEM T+3: TUBE [+FLEX]–20), or providing field training to Shipyard personnel. When Contract Line ITEMs requiring services (labor) of a Vendor are EMERGENT, they are best coordinated via an immediate phone call to the Vendor followed by an E-mail (Cc: Vendor / COR / Contract Specialist / TSDE) to document the emergent nature of the request by the responsible Shipyard Party. The Project's Temporary Systems Zone Manager [TSZM] would be responsible for coordinating all such emergent requests to include those to be established as not being the fault of the Vendor.

FOOTNOTE D:

The TOTAL GOVERNMENT ESTIMATE for the entire duration of the Contract to include all CLINs is at the end of the

TVENT MACHINERY & EQUIPMENT SCHEDULE. This total is a summation of CLINs / EXTENSIONs that would be committed during the docking Fiscal Year (1ST CYCLE) plus CLINs / EXTENSIONs that would be committed either later in the same Fiscal Year or during the follow-on Fiscal Year (2ND CYCLE). The Vendor may have the discretion of providing either ALTERNATIVE A (PREFERRED / REQUIRED) or ALTERNATIVE B (PERMITTED) machinery. Regardless of the Vendor's ALTERNATIVE selection, the Government Estimate for ALTERNATIVE A is exactly the same as that for ALTERNATIVE B.

The type of alternative is indicated in the Government ESTIMATE (last column) as: IA or IB │ IIA or IIB │ IIIA or IIIB.

REVIEWED BY ENGINEER

STATEMENT (STMT):

1. For chilled water (CHW) COIL machines intended to remove sensible heat from Process Air to include the post-cooler on a combined DDU, the temperature controlling device is normally a three-way control valve. Besides the valve's single suction inlet (SUPPLY), the valve's dual discharge outlets (RETURN) is either to the machine's CHW coil(s) and thence, to the chilled water RETURN flow or bypasses the machine's CHW coil(s) proceeding directly to the CHW RETURN leg. The distinct benefit of such a 3-way control valve vice a 2-way OPEN / SHUT type is the continuous flow of the CHW network. Disregarding the semi-annual seasonal adjustment to the CHW SUPPLY (discharge) temperature on the smaller chiller that services the ship's Chilled Water system, do not adjust the CHW temperature on the larger chiller(s) as a control for the COIL's discharge air temperature.

2. Regardless of COIL type (i.e. heating only, cooling only, heating & cooling, w/ air-handler, or w/o air-handler), the Process Air (PA) temperature that discharges from the unit must be thermostatically controlled whether in HEAT or COOL mode. Thermostatic Control is defined (by R. D. Grossman) as a combination of devices that: (a) provides an ability to adjust to a precise temperature set-point; (b) senses the controlled discharge temperature with some degree of accuracy; and (c) automatically responds to minor changes in the detected temperature to activate switching / controlling devices so as to maintain the temperature set-point.

3. PREFER FAN–N} MTR: ≥60HP LS VFD & SRC TYPE C ▌AIR–FLOW (THRU DUCT): ≥10K CFM @ 14" ESP (PREFERRED) MINIMUM FAN–N} MTR: ≥40HP LS VFD & SRC TYPE C ▌FAN-FLOW (THRU FAN): ≥10K CFM @ 14" TSP (PERMITTED)

4. NAVSEA Technical Publication 8010: INDUSTRIAL SHIP SAFETY MANUAL FOR FIRE PREVENTION AND RESPONSE compels the Shipyard to have the ability to immediately stop airflow into the submarine's INTERIOR (pressurized) Compartments (FWD & AFT) in an emergency Fire Fighting situation. Hence, E-STOPS (EMERGENCY STOPS a.k.a. ECS: ELECTRICAL

CONTROL STATIONS) are required for Fire Safety for machinery with a Process Air (PA) blower (i.e. COIL [H+C]–L/2N) and for Exhaust Blowers (i.e. FAN [EXH/SRC]–N) either of which SUPPLY or EXHAUST air into / from the submarine's interior Compartments. Thus, up to four E-STOPS (one per machine) may be required if the Vendor delivers two pairs of Normal (–2N) capacity COILs (ALTERNATIVE IIB) vice the need for only two E-STOPS for two each Large (–L) capacity COILs (ALTERNATIVE IIA). The Exhaust Blowers (FAN [EXH/SRC]–N) are consigned as to their designated application of FWD or AFT or PROP and then INTERIOR or EXTERIOR. The two Exhaust Blowers having some or all of its ducting runs routed to the submarine's INTERIOR Compartments (COMPTS: FWD & AFT) do require E-STOPS regardless of location (PNSY / NLON / NBPL). However, for the non-deployed location (PNSY) which may have two (LA Class: MBTs only) or three (VA Class: MBTs & Propulsor) additional Exhaust Blowers (Non-IA) with all of its ducting runs routed solely to the submarine's EXTERIOR Main Ballast Tanks (MBTs: FWD & AFT) or Propulsor Enclosure, E-STOPS ARE NOT REQUIRED FOR EXHAUST BLOWERS DESIGNATED FOR EXTERIOR USE ONLY.

STATEMENT (STMT):

5. The submitted Equipment (Machinery) Data Sheet from the Vendor for the dehumidifier must state the precise MOISTURE REMOVAL RATE (MRR) for just the desiccant wheel and the BASIS (i.e. ambient conditions) for that rate (see REMARK V3 for the Technical Requirement and an explanation thereof). Furthermore, for a DCCU [HSP]–N/L, the Vendor must also state the MOISTURE REMOVAL RATE (MRR) for the entire appliance as a dehumidification (DH) System which includes the pre-cooling coil and the BASIS (i.e. ambient conditions) for that particular rate.

Pease ITP, NH @ 1% = 71.0°F DP / 114.7 HR / 78.3°F MCDB

6. The PERFORMANCE CAPACITY column provides two equivalent (≡) values for the quantity of Reactivation Heat (RH) energy. The first value is given in kilowatts (Kw) when RH is via the electric heating coils which must be built into all desiccant dehumidifiers (DCCU & DDU). The second value is given in thousands of Btus per hour (MBtu/h or MBH).

7. The post-heater, whether a distinctly separate machine (ITEM D2/3h: HTGC [PST]–Ⓒ) or as a built-in electric (ELEC) heating coil to a combined dehumidifier (ITEM D2/3: DCCU [HSP]–N/L), imparts a substantial amount of energy as all sensible (S) heat via a temperature rise. The PERFORMANCE CAPACITY column provides the heating need in terms of kilowatts (Kw) and thousands of Btus per hour (MBH). The controller for the post-heater must be both thermostatic to an adjustable temperature (65–140ºF) and manual via a minimum of four stages (switches) in case of thermostat failure so as to achieve a desired worker comfort level. If the thermostat should fail, the Vendor shall make weekly manual adjustments based on Project dictates for comfort and instruct Project personnel on how to make daily adjustments until such time as the thermostat has been repaired.

8. A pre-cooling coil removes a substantial amount of energy split about equally between sensible (S) heat via a temperature drop and latent (L) heat via moisture condensation (i.e. a pre-cooler is a wet coil). Whereas, a post-cooling coil removes about half the energy as its matched pre-cooler and all of it is sensible (S) heat via a temperature drop only (i.e. the post-cooler must never become wet, or else its discharge is at 100% RH). Thus, a pre-cooler removes about twice as much energy as its associated post-cooler. The controller for the pre-cooler is either manual or automatic in which it is adjusted to a particular flowrate (gpm) and/or temperature differential (∆TºF) so as to achieve a desired amount of energy removal and must not be thermostatic. Whereas, the controller for the post-cooler must be both thermostatic to an adjustable temperature (50–85ºF) and manual in case of thermostat failure so as to achieve a desired worker comfort level within the constraints of not exceeding 50% RH for the volume space. The PERFORMANCE CAPACITY column states the minimum cooling need in terms of tonnage and/or gpm. If the thermostat should fail on the post-cooler, the Vendor shall make weekly manual adjustments based on Project dictates for comfort balanced by RH and instruct Project personnel on how to make daily adjustments until such time as the thermostat has been repaired.

STATEMENT (STMT):

9. To allow for a mechanism to self-regulate the chilled water flowrate such that it shall be double thru the pre-coil than it would be thru the post-coil, the hose assemblies shall be four-inch in diameter from MANF–U or MANF–LY to the 4" : 3"CAM adapter on the pre-cooling coil of DCCU≥N and, correspondingly, three-inch in diameter from MANF–U or MANF–LY to the post-cooling coil of DCCU≥N. The Vendor must provide and attach the appropriate transition fittings on both the DCCU≥N and on the MANF–U or MANF–LY (stencil accordingly) such that the Project has no choice but to run the correct diameter hose assemblies between the manifold and the dehumidifier.

10. After the Project finishes the installation of the entire seasonal only TCHW piping system(s) (e.g. in support of dehumidified air for the ship's EXTERIOR and/or conditioned air for the ship's INTERIOR) for each cooling season, the Vendor is encouraged to pick-up all excess elbows and practically all excess hose assemblies as long as the Government can recall a portion of that excess at no additional cost in case of a system's failure. Specifically, if the remainder of hose assemblies of each size is greater than one-hundred feet (100'), then at least one-hundred feet (100') of hose assemblies of each size (3"Ø / 4"Ø / 6"Ø) shall remain on-site in case of hose failure.

11. The flow path of a Wye type manifold is to / from the larger opening and simultaneously from / to the two smaller openings, similar to a Y. The flow path of a Tee type manifold is straight thru the two larger openings with a single tap-off to / from the smaller opening, similar to a T. The flow path of a Universal (4-way) manifold would be as if a Tee type manifold and a Wye type manifold were interconnected, similar to an X.

12. For manifold and piping assemblies, the quantity of valves described for the construction under the PERFORMANCE CAPACITY column is for each individual piece and, of course, it would be double that for a pair. However, the HOSE and ELBOW quantities is for each lease ID (V##) regardless of the dimension used for the QTY, whether it be a unit (UN) or pair (PR). Unless stated otherwise, hose assemblies and elbows shall terminate in male and female cam-lock type fittings (M & F CAM).

13. To maintain cleanliness on valved manifold and piping assemblies so as to prevent damage to their valves, custom-fit metal or hard plastic cleanliness type devices shall be installed on all camlock type end fittings and custom-size metal or hard plastic round plates shall be bolted onto all flanged openings prior to Shipyard delivery.

STATEMENT (STMT):

14. As a CRITICAL non-seasonal continuously operating chiller, the unit shall have both (a) a permanently installed continuous reading Liquid Flow Meter (LFM) in GPM and (b) an indication of the precise Entering and Leaving (chilled) Water Temperature (EWT & LWT) to / from the chiller in degrees Fahrenheit (ºF). The TVENT MACHINERY & EQUIPMENT: NOTES (as ITEMized) in Section D of this Technical Specification provides additional details.

15. Normally, the pump shall have a minimum specified flowrate of 3.6 gallons per minute (gpm) per ton of minimum cooling capacity at a Head Pressure of one-hundred feet (100') as stated in TABLE V1 (50% greater flowrate than the commercial standard of 2.4 gpm / ton @ ∆T = 10ºF because of added friction from extended hose routings).

However, if a pump is permanently piped into its chiller (i.e. built-in) and the chiller-pump is not intended for establishing a seasonal DH Chilled Water Loop, then the stated flowrate can be as low as 3.0 gallons per minute (gpm) per ton of minimum cooling capacity at a Head Pressure of one-hundred feet (100') (just 25% greater flow rate than the commercial standard of 2.4 gpm / ton @ ∆T = 10ºF reflecting on the reduction in the hose routings).

The indicated horsepower for the motor is only a guide to achieve 3.6 gpm per ton for a separate pump, thus, the motor Hp for a 3.0 gpm per ton requirement for a built-in pump as well as flowrates would be similarly reduced.

16. Although the Extra Large (–X nominal 200 Ton) or Gigantic (–G nominal 400 Ton) capacity chillers may include a built-in pump in which the pump may match or exceed the required capacity and may even be of the preferred Low Speed (LS) type, the Full Load Amperage (FLA) required for the combined chiller and built-in pump will most likely and substantially exceed the limit stated in the PERFORMANCE CAPACITY should their motors be electrically powered from a common circuit. In this particular circumstance, the Vendor must either: (a) provide a separate and independent Stand-Alone pump of sufficient capacity (as confirmed by the TSDE via the Pump Curve) to be electrically connected by the Shipyard to its own autonomous circuit breaker isolated from the chiller or (b) the Vendor rewires the chiller's built-in pump (capacity to be confirmed by the TSDE via the Pump Curve) so that the pump's power can be electrically connected by the Shipyard to its own autonomous circuit breaker isolated from the chiller. Even with the pump's electrical power source independent from that of the chiller, the chiller may need to be only slightly derated in capacity in order to not exceed the FLA limit provided in the column titled:

PERFORMANCE CAPACITY. The chiller shall not be derated below the FLA limit range provided in the Table.

17. GFM: Currently, this 8"Ø product cannot be manufactured with cuffs. If true cuffs become available, straight clamps can be used vice the CCW Flex-Tube® Bridge Clamps so indicated. Couplings (CPLG) are also indicated and required (2 CPLG / RUN of three semi-flexible ductings). The couplings shall be the newly developed eight-inch Flex-Tube® Swivel Connector as manufactured by Flexaust®. This product is used solely for untreated Exhaust Air (XA) running predominantly INTERIOR to the ship in support of Hot Work. As such, a NAVSEA Technical Publication 8010: INDUSTRIAL SHIP SAFETY MANUAL FOR FIRE PREVENTION AND RESPONSE requires the product to be Flame Retardant and for the product to be marked as such. Hence, the product shall be Flame Retardant in which the manufacturer tests samples of the product abiding by the test procedures as described in UL–94V–0. If the suggested manufacturer obtains the means to typeset or trace continuously the phrase: "FLAME RETARDANT:

94V–0" onto the product, then any newly ordered product must be so traced.

18. GFM: Since this 14"Ø product can now be manufactured cuff-like (by removing a portion of the wire helix), any newly ordered product must be manufactured with cuffs. Existing product (manufactured on or prior to May 2015) may not include cuffs. This product is used solely for untreated Exhaust Air (XA) running predominantly EXTERIOR to the ship, hence, the product need not be Flame Retardant.

19. GFP: For a Large capacity (–L: triple discharge) Desiccant Dehumidification (DH) machine (DCCU or DDU), three (3) each PSIS would be required per machine (one for each outlet). Otherwise, two PSIS are needed per machine (one for each outlet) for a Normal capacity (–N: double discharge) machine.

20. As a 20"Ø Normal capacity positive pressure Supply Air (SA) ducting (ITEM T+3: TUBE [+FLEX]–20), either the standard wire-reinforcement pitch of 7-inch for SUPPLY AIR (positive pressure) or 4-inch for RETURN AIR (negative pressure) are acceptable with WHITE as the PREFERRED color. This product is used solely for treated (dehumidified and/or tempered) Supply Air (SA) running EXTERIOR to the ship, hence, the product need not be Flame Retardant.

The REQUIRED end finish is a “wire ring encased in fabric that interlocks one duct [sic: tubing] to another” by which the ducting pressure creates a sufficiently air-tight seal and thus, the necessity for couplings (connectors and elbows) in addition to associated clamps are negated.

21. If ducting has been previously used (i.e. not in its original shipping containers from the manufacturer), then the Vendor must perform a careful physical examination of the ducting just prior to (i.e. within thirty days of) shipment. A physical examination would of course require that each individual piece of ducting is fully-extended in order to perform an adequate visual check. The ducting material shall: (i) not be torn, accept for minor pin hole type penetrations near the REQUIRED end finish wire ring ducting ends for the insertion of security tie-wraps to be installed after ducting interlocking; (ii) not be damaged nor vandalized; (iii) be clean and free of debris; (iv) lack indication of chemicals, burns, cuts, or abrasion; (v) not exhibit signs of mildew, rot, nor vermin; (vi) not have permanent kinks in the wire-reinforcement helix; and especially (vii) not have damaged nor bent wire end rings.

STATEMENT (STMT):

22. For the floating drydock at a deployed location (NBPL & NLON), the two Exhaust Blowers under lease do evacuate air from the INTERIOR and hence, they each require E-Stops (ITEM F1: FAN [EXH/SRC]–N × 2 EA) as well as the Temperature Conditioning Coil(s) a.k.a. TCC(s) (ITEM C1/2: COIL [H+C]–L/2N). The machinery will be located on the floor of the floating drydock with the Exhaust Blowers positioned either Fore or Aft of the submarine (longer run distance than average) and the TCC(s) positioned mid-ship opposite the floating drydock's middle Access on the Port side of the submarine (shorter run distance than average). The estimate for the distance of the cable run per connected Air Handling Unit a.k.a. AHU / air-handler / fan / blower (ARDM#4-NLON & ARDM#5-NBPL = 250 feet / fan) is an average, however, individual cable distances do vary. If control cables must be pre-ordered as pre-cut assemblies to a particular length, the suggestion is that some be maybe one hundred feet longer than average and, correspondingly, the remaining cable(s) be equivalently shorter than average.

23. The Project's Temporary Systems Zone Manager [TSZM] or their Temporary Systems Execution Support Engineer [TSESE] or the Temporary Systems Design Engineer [TSDE], as applicable, shall effectuate (via telephone and/or E-mail) any request to the Vendor for TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE (TECH [≤4HR]–##) and will log the type / duration followed by a copy of the communiqué to the COR and Contracting Office. As corroboration, the Vendor shall do the same. For Service Calls (ITEMS: W#–W#), both Parties shall follow-up via E-mail with their respective rationale as to whether the fault is with the Government or Vendor. The Project's Temporary Systems Zone Manager [TSZM] is responsible for pre-scheduling non-emergent requests for assistance with the Vendor's Service Manager [VSM].

24. Whenever Service Technician(s) are deployed to / on the job-site within the confines of the Controlled Industrial Area (CIA) for whatever the type of assistance requested (ITEMS: W#–W#), at least one Service Technician shall be in possession of a non-camera equipped cellular telephone (e.g. TracFone®) and the number for that phone shall be conveyed to the Project's Temporary Systems Zone Manager [TSZM] and the Temporary Systems Design Engineer [TSDE]. The Service Technician(s) are expected to have immediate access to the tools, pipe fittings, hardware (bolts / nuts / washers), rubber gaskets, rigid duct transitions (if needed), Service Manuals, and whatever is necessary to perform the function for which their presence is required.

NOTE: The [TSDE] may make a request for information such as Equipment Data Sheets (EDS) on any machinery type and/or size within the Vendor's inventory and that information shall be made available in an electronic format and sent via E-Mail to: Richard.Grossman@Navy.mil.

C3 COIL [H±C/HSP]–L (TEMPERATURE CONDITIONING) COIL (COIL) for treating [H±C: heating and/or cooling as specified / HSP: with a built-in High Static Pressure blower] ambient (100% outside) air in which the utility process for cooling is via a chilled water coil and not a refrigeration cycle (i.e.

not a compressor & condenser) and for heating is via electric heating coils and not a steam nor hot water coil of Large (–L) capacity (≥800K Btuh of heating / ~100 tons of cooling / ≥20K cfm @ 5–9" TSP). As a Stand-Alone unit, a built-in air-handler is REQUIRED which must be wired to an E-STOP. NOTE: Large capacity (–L) is more defined by the size of the Supply Fan (HSP: the rate of airflow [CFM] at a particular static pressure ESP or TSP [EXTERNAL or TOTAL]) rather than its chilled water coil cooling capacity.

D# DCCU [HSP]≥N DESICCANT CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT (DCCU) that combines several machines into a single unit ALTERNATIVE IA unit of Normal (–N) capacity (PA ≥10K scfm & unit's net [WHEEL] and gross [SYSTEM] moisture extraction as specified in the TS) to include any ancillary equipment (i.e. PA outlet duct wyes) as quantified and/or described in the TS. Besides the Desiccant Dryer (DSCC) to include Reactivation of the desiccant wheel via electricity (as either contingency or primary) with its attendant air-handlers for the Process Air (PA) and Reactivation Air (RA), the combined [CMBD] structure shall incorporate the following machines of capacities as specified in TABLE V1: (a) Post-Heating Coil equivalent to HTGC [ELEC]–N; (b) Pre-Cooling Coil equivalent to CLGC [PRE]–N; (c) Post-Cooling Coil equivalent to CLGC [POST]–N/M (N/M ≡ a single Normal or a single Medium capacity machine); and (d) steam Reactivation Heating Coil equivalent to RHC [STM]–N/2M (N/2M ≡ a single Normal or dual Medium capacity machines).

B LEASE SPECIFICATION — TVENT MACHINERY & EQUIPMENT: ALTERNATIVES

ALTERNATIVES: (includes the Vendor's CHOICE and REQUISITES within a particular ALTERNATIVE) & [ITEM #]

ALTNV IA: A combined or integrated High Static Pressure [HSP] Desiccant Climate Control Unit (DCCU [HSP]≥N) in (ITEM D2/3) which the unit not only has the typical air-handlers with its electric desiccant dryer, but, also includes:

(a) steam coil(s) for the reactivation heat (in addition to electric reactivation as standby should there be a loss of steam); (b) a post-heating coil; (c) a pre-cooling coil; and (d) a post-cooling coil. (REQUIRED) NOTE: Steam coils for Reactivation heat required only for PNSY and not NBPL, CA nor NLON, CT.

ALTNV IIA: A Large (–L) capacity Temperature Conditioning Coil that can both heat and cool (COIL [H+C / HSP]–L) in (ITEM C3) which: (a) the fan has a Low Speed (LS) motor with Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) rated at ≥50Hp, hence, the fan's air-handler can and is rated for ≥25K cfm @ 8" TSP; (b) at least four (4) each Supply (Discharge) outlets; (c) ≥120 tons of cooling; and (d) ≥240 Kw ≡ ≥820 MBH of heating. (REQUIRED) NOTE: Both cooling and heating are required for PNSY. Dependent on the Project's season-duration, sometimes either cooling or heating are not required for NBPL, CA or NLON, CT. Should it be the case for a particular Project, the cooling {CLG} or heating [HTG] capacity will be strikethrough in TABLE V1.

ALTNV IIIA: Universal (–U) Cross style (╬) Manifold (MANF [4"╬ 6"]–U) in which the hydrostatically tested main body (ITEM M-U) of each manifold is exactly the same whether that manifold should be designated as SUPPLY or RETURN, thus, reducing the inventory of types and quantities of manifolds. For the connection of multiple machinery with chilled water coil(s), a single Universal (–U) cross manifold pair (–U) is equivalent to two connected splitter type manifold pairs such as a –LY or –XT or –XY so that multiple manifold pairs are not necessary for the distribution of chilled water to particular machine(s), thereby, reducing the overall quantity of manifolds, as well as the inventory styles to from six to just one. (PREFERRED)

IIIB (M#): Unique Tee (T) or Wye (Y) Manifold STYLES (MANF [4":3"×2]–LY

/ MANF [4":6"×2]–XT

/ MANF [6":4"×2]–

XY) in which the hydrostatically tested main body of each manifold is gender TYPE specific dependent on whether that manifold is designated as a SUPPLY or RETURN, doubling the inventory kinds of manifolds.

A machine with chilled water coil(s) may require multiple STYLES and gender TYPE specific splitter manifolds…
