Solicitation – N32253-24-Q-0061

Forklift Rental

RESPONSES TO QUESTIONS (6/6/2024)

1. Question: Is the contractor responsible for supplying the propane refills throughout the year?

Answer: Yes – per PWS 3.0.b.3 The contractor shall provide the following: Propane tanks as required. Customer request that vendor drop off multiple tanks at a time, less wait time if only dropping 1 for 1.

2. Question: Can a bid be submitted with pneumatic tires and propane fuel? Solicitation is requesting diesel fuel, but bidders have forklifts ready to deliver with propane fuel.

Answer: Yes a bid can be submitted with pneumatic tires and propane fuel. Customer prefers diesel fuel but if propane is the only fuel available by all vendors that may be the only option we have.

3. Question: Is propane tanks a mandatory part of the scope as diesel forklifts do not use propane tanks?

Answer: No. Customer prefers diesel fuel but if propane is the only fuel available by all vendors that may be the only option we have.

4. Question: Can you provide the solicitation number of the contract that Octane won last year?

Answer: We do not provide that information since the public is able to access this information. Please refer to the PWS for all necessary information for the solicitation.

ADDED

5. As per SAM, the tentative Performance Period is from June 13, 2024, to September 30, 2025.

However, on the continuation sheet of the SF, the first delivery date for the initial period is listed as June 13, 2024, to June 12, 2025, which, according to the continuation sheet, spans 12 months and requires 3 forklifts. For the second period, it's stated as June 13, 2024, to September 30, 2025, amounting to 4 months and also requiring 3 forklifts.

Could you kindly clarify whether a total of 3 forklifts are needed from June 13, 2024, to September 30, 2025, or if 6 forklifts are required from June 13, 2024, to June 12, 2025, and then 3 forklifts from June 13, 2024, to September 30, 2025?

Answer: There was an error on the solicitation. The second period should be for the following June 13, 2025, to September 30, 2025, amounting to an additional 4 months requiring 3 months.
