HRMC-019-24 Q&A

As of 06 December 2023

Q: For WI 233-11-001: Paragraph 3.8 of the work specification states, "Procure 2 each engines listed in 5.3, using removed port and starboard engines as a COR trade in." It is our understanding of this paragraph that the Contractor is providing two (2) spare engines and that the Government is providing GFM for engine replacement. The Technical Representative who is contracted to provide Cummins engines to the Government is asking if this is correct that the Government wants two (2) additional engines.

Answer: Yes, the intent is to have the Government provide 2 GFM engines for the KTR to install. The KTR will procure 2 new spare engines using the 2 removed engines as a COR trade in.
