Questions and Answers Updated: 11/20/2023
(Government answers are provided in red text)
Question 1: In para 3.5 of WI 077-00-001 has various types of hazardous waste identified under contractor to dispose of … but 3.5.1 states provide zero dollars … which is it?
Updated Answer as of 11/17/23: Contractors to follow paragraph 3.5.1 of WI 077-00-001 and “provide zero dollars for managing and disposing of all hazardous waste listed in 3.5. Total cost greater or less than above dollar amount will be the subject of an equitable adjustment.”
Question 2: While putting together the procurement list for WI 593-11-002 on the YRBM-32 CHT and Grill Maintenance and Repair package, I found that paragraph 1.3 only identifies a single type of tank level sensor of quantity 8 EA. In the requirements section; however, I found that 3.3.3 calls for 4 EA of this sensor and 3.7 calls for 4 EA level control sensors listed as F-31 in no particular reference.
Furthermore, F-31 in the provided references is not a sensor, and is, in fact, a copper tubing elbow.
Please confirm if the identification is correct, and we need to provide eight (8) Tank Level Indicator (TLI) Sensors per 1.3.2 to provide for both paragraphs 3.3.3 and 3.7; or if this is not the case, please provide more information.
Answer: The intent of the work item is to purchase 8 EA tank level sensors, installing 4 EA and turning over 4 EA to the barge program. Contractor to bid as such.
Question 3: In paragraph 3.3.3 of WI 593-11-002 the “strainer” is referenced to the 1.3.1 identified “Overflow Strainer (F-37).” After searching the reference drawings 2.4 and 2.5 (which are the same), F- 37 is a wye pipe fitting, and not a strainer at all. Please provide clarification if we are replacing the F-37 pipe fitting or instead an unidentified overflow strainer.
Answer: Contractor to replace the overflow strainers and not the pipe fitting, Subsequent HRMC-010-24 work package revision will be posted.
Question 4: SAM.gov posting states “Proposal submission deadline has been updated to 11/27/2023 12:00 p.m. HST” however, SF 18 block 10 states: “10. PLEASE FURNISH QUOTATIONS TO THE ISSUING OFFICE IN BLOCK 5a ON OR BEFORE CLOSE OF BUSINESS: (Date) 27-Nov-2023”. Will an amendment be issued to reflect the correct bid due time?
Answer: There is no option to put specific time in the government contract writing system for solicitation due times, however, edited the SF 18 in post to reflect proposal deadline of 27-Nov-2023 1200 HST. Please see attachment N32253-24-Q-0006_rev2.
