HSB Questions & Answers

As of 04 April 2023

Question: When referring to paragraph (V)(G) Generator Break and reference 2.16. Is the intent of the break in test to run the generator between 20 and 60% load for 10 hours. (Work Item 311-11-001)

Answer: No. Intent is to ensure the new generator was properly installed. Start generator and after the generator has been started, check for proper operation and then allow the generator to warm up a few minutes before applying 20% of full load for 15 minutes and 60% of full load for 15 minutes.

Question: Will the contractor be expected to store all (3 EA) HSB vessels during the length of the availability? Or will the contractor only have access to (1 EA) HSB vessel at a time during the availability?

Answer: (1 EA) HSB and Trailer at a time.

Question: Will the vessels come with lifting swings? According to 8-2 in the boat information book (reference S9008-KT-BIB-010 32 (REV 2)) there are specific slings for the vessels.

Answer: Yes
