MEMORANDUM FOR FILE
CONTRACT NUMBER: N32253-18-T-0002
DELIVERY ORDER:
MODIFICATION NUMBER:
RFQ/RFP: N32253-18-T-0002 – Industrial Hygienist Training Solicitation questions received from inquiries and responses:
1. Question -- Are the training sessions schedule limited to 52-4 hour classes or 26-hour classes? Are the 4 hour or 8 hour classes required to be conducted weekly or biweekly throughout the year? (for example- can 8 classes be scheduled daily for 1 week?)
Answer – No. However, intent is not to make a significant stoppage to work activities. Therefore, 8 class should NOT be scheduled daily for 1 week. Preference is to spread out the classes over a period of time. This gives people time to learn/focus on different topics each week. If a longer period of time is needed for any one subject, it should be split into multiple sessions. The maximum training period during a week should not exceed 24 hours (e.g., 3-days straight). The maximum training period during a two-week period should not exceed 40 hours total.
2. Question - Will the base be able to provide access to on-base housing for the contractor?
Answer – No.
3. Question – Can you clarify the training structure of up to 6 personnel - will the same 6 students be receiving the training throughout or will the training be done to various students per class. Note: In relation to question 1, classes can be structured such that homework is given between classes, or broken down such that one topic is covered over several sessions.
Answer – For the most part, it will be the same students for each class. On occasion we may fill empty seats with available personnel if the training subject is applicable to their work.
4. Question – is the training program designed for new students requiring initial training or refresher courses? Clarify the knowledge/experience level of students.
Answer – Assumption should be that they are inexperienced Industrial Hygienist right out of college. There will be some experienced personnel who will attend the class.
