About this file
This is a Statement of Requirements (SOR) for repair services on the USNS Robert F. Kennedy. The document specifies repairs required for lifeboat davits and sprinkler pump systems aboard the vessel. The requirement is designated as Sole Source, with PALFINGER MARINE USA identified as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) whose products and services are mandatory. Any offers from non-OEM sources will not be considered for award.
The Military Sealift Command will issue a Firm-Fixed Price Purchase Order to fulfill this requirement. The repairs address critical shipboard safety and operational systems, requiring specialized knowledge and components specific to the installed equipment. As a sole source procurement, competition is restricted to the specified OEM, streamlining the acquisition process for these specialized marine engineering services and parts.
