About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for overhauling the #1 Ship Service Air Compressor (SSAC) on the USNS LEWIS AND CLARK. The project requires a qualified Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) SPERRE Air Compressor representative to perform a comprehensive maintenance service at Naval Weapons Station Earle in New Jersey during the period of March 24-28, 2025. Key work requirements include operationally testing the compressor, performing a routine F overhaul, replacing crankcase lube oil, setting pressure switches, conducting capacity tests, and providing a detailed service report.
The manufacturer's representative for this project is Lee Engineering Supply Co Inc, located in Harahan, Louisiana, with Mike Lee as the point of contact. The contractor must adhere to specific safety protocols, particularly regarding high voltage electrical systems, and will need to complete base access forms for security approval. All parts, materials, and two routine F overhaul kits must be provided by the contractor, with the ship supplying specific lubricant (Mobil Rarus 827). The work will be performed under Military Sealift Command solicitation N3220525Q2290, with all inspections and adjustments to be completed according to original equipment manufacturer specifications.
