THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for quotes and no contract will be awarded from this notice. There is no solicitation, specifications or drawings available at this time, except as noted below.

Military Sealift Command Norfolk has a requirement for the USNS WASHINGTON CHAMBERS (T-AKE 11) for a Mid-Term Availability (MTA) on/about January 10, 2025, for 50 days. The place of performance will be at a Contractor’s facility located on the West Coast.

While the finalized list of work items is still under development, a list of the notional work package items is as follows:

1) TAKE SWI General Services for Ship

2) TAKE SWI Clean and Gas Free Tanks, Voids, Cofferdams, and Spaces

3) TAKE CSI Automation and Propulsion Control Inspection and Test (1 YR) (SCSI)

4) TAKE CSI Annual Integrated Bridge Equipment Service and Certification (SCSI)

5) Install New Seals and Bearings LTFW Pumps

6) TAKE CCSI Annual Lifeboat and Davit Inspection

7) TAKE CCSI Inspect, Test and Certify Material Handling Equipment Forklifts (1 YR)

Please provide a response demonstrating your firm’s experience in performing similar work. This procurement will be solicited under NAICS Code 336611, Ship Building and Repair, which has a size standard of 1,300 employees. Indicate if your company is a large or small business, and if a small business, indicate if you fall within any of the further classifications (HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB, etc.)

Please provide your response to this sources sought notice by 10:00 a.m. est., Norfolk, VA time on June 12, 2024. Submissions may be made by e-mail to thomas.l.white222.civ@us.navy.mil. Submission of a capabilities statement is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings, but participation will assist the Government as to the extent of shipyards available for this procurement. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice.
